Striking Elhew Rex

Rex was a quick, fast, athletic, 55 pound, Mack son with excellent conformation, a wealth of natural ability, and loads of personality. He had a natural sense of the front, hunted at a comfortable range in any terrain, and handled effortlessly. Rex was an enthusiastic, natural retriever who exhibited exceptional character around game.

More than half of Rex's genetics are derived from the Elhew Strike x Elhew Kiwi "nick", that Bob Wehle noted produced his best gun dogs - and particularly - his best grouse dogs. Rex's pedigree is secondarily influenced by National Champion Elhew Snakefoot through his champion producing sons Elhew Jefferson and Elhew Crazy horse, and Futurity winner Elhew Pasquinel.
